Melbourne Food and Wine is a not-for-profit organisation working to promote Victoria's produce and lifestyle.
As part of this promotion, Melbourne Food and Wine manage melbournefoodandwine.com.au, an online environment with information about events, food and wine trends throughout the region.
They needed
Melbourne Food and Wine has been successfully using Lantern CMS to manage their website since 2001. Over this time, Melbourne Food and Wine's online needs have grown. They needed their online environment to have a refreshed creative look and feel and truly represent their new branding and style. As well as this, Melbourne Food and Wine wanted the ability for users to be able to refine their online search to include search by keyword, search by region and search by interest to name a few. The organisation also required the ability for visual and audio files to be uploaded by website administrators which would showcase some of the fantastic events that take place throughout Victoria. |

We provided
Lantern version 3.2 was quickly identified as the version which would meet Melbourne Food and Wine's needs.
The newest version allows Melbourne Food and Wine to upload files such as Flash, RealTime Media, and QuickTime to their website accessibly and with very little effort. The files are complemented with the ability to add online captioning.
Melbourne Food and Wine worked with Lantern's website software company, Morpheum, to specify each and every need in terms of refining the search for their visitors. As well as refining searches by keyword, region and / or interest, users have the ability to only search specific events such as the Food and Wine Festival or A Taste of Slow.
As if the new features of version 3.2 weren't enough to wet the appetite of Melbourne Food and Wine, Morpheum produced a creative design that was second to none. A grand flash design on the homepage really enhanced their new creative design and gave the website the edge it was after.
Over and above
Melbourne Food and Wine again signed up with Morpheum for an additional three year sponsorship contract until 2009, to ensure the long-term life of their purchase and updates through each Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. This three year contract will take Melbourne Food and Wine's partnership with Lantern and Morpheum to 10 years, one of the longest serving for both companies.
